  • Serving Spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 –8 pepperoncini peppers
  • ¼ cup pepperoncini juice optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Place the butter on top of the seasoned chicken.
  • Add the pepperoncini peppers around the chicken. Pour in the pepperoncini juice if using.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fork-tender.
  • Shred the chicken using two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  • Let the chicken sit in the sauce for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, buttered noodles, or on sandwich buns.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts for extra juicy results.
  • Do not add extra broth or water, as the chicken releases enough liquid while cooking.
  • Cream cheese can be added during the last 30 minutes for a creamy variation.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
